I have been an artist and a writer since my first fumbling grasp of a crayon. My most vivid childhood memories are of hours clutching a pencil in my hand, covered in graphite and eraser dust, putting my world down on paper.
I have always had an intense urge to create, whether through visual art, writing, craft or dance. I want and need to make things. And if I am going to make things, why not make them beautiful? As a graphic artist, I strive to create works that do more than convey a message. Good design should say something and look good doing it.
When not engaged in professional endeavors, I satisfy my creative urges by writing poetry and fiction, designing and constructing costumes and dance wear, and performing Middle Eastern Dance as a member of Arabian Lights Dance Company. I am also an avid reader, the happy wife of a college instructor, and proud mamma of a handful of furry four-legged children.
